Intro to Nosework
This class is catered specifically to dogs new to the sport of Nosework. There is no age requirement, young or old. Any age dog can learn this game! This 8-week session will focus on introducing your dog the game, how to search for “primary,” and will then build on those skills (for dogs AND handlers), with introduction to odor in the final weeks of class.
-
Intermediate Nosework
This class is focused on dogs that have completed Intro to Nosework and are wanting to continue building their skills. All three odors will be introduced, along with introductions to each of the elements that are part of NACSW trials. This level can be mixed with the Advanced Nosework level classes, as small changes can be made to accommodate skill/experience level and challenges introduced.
-
Advanced Nosework
This level aims to present dogs and handlers with ongoing education, odor puzzles and challenges, and may have some student request led lesson plans (for those interested in strengthening particular skills). These classes are ideal for teams wanting to trial, but it is not necessary for that to be the focus to be in this level. There may be some classes that have a blend of Advanced and Intermediate teams and challenges can be adapted to meet specific need.

Road to Trialing
This is shorter, 4-week course, that is targeted towards working on the specific elements of trialing (Exterior searches, Interior Searches, Container searches, and Vehicle Searches). This course will be a mix of discussion/questions about trialing, working on each specific element using various odor puzzles you may encounter in trials, and time for team specific feedback and instruction. Space will be limited in this course (5-6 dogs per session). Course will be offered intermittently.

Skills Challenge Saturdays!
NACSW offers Skills Challenges that can be videoed and submitted for titles, and it is a fun way to test you and your dog’s skills, without the pressure of trialing.
Please see NACSW’s website for more information about the Skills Challenges (https://nacsw.net/challenges)
These challenges can be done at home, but for those who don’t have the space or equipment (or time) to set up these searches and would like help having someone record their search and submit it for judging, this class time will be reserved to assist people who would like to complete the 4 skills challenges.
Skills Challenges will cost $15 per Saturday or $55 for all 4 Saturdays, in addition to the $25 that will need to be paid to NACSW in order to submit the video entries for judging. For the cost, I will be setting up the room, offering instruction on how to complete the challenge, will record video of the search, and will assist with submission of the video to NACSW, if needed.
